A routine cleaning at Atlanta Dental Arts is anything but routine. Michelle, our hygienist, meticulously cleans and polishes your teeth and removes tartar buildup, with the soft touch patients rave about in review after review.
During your exam we also check the health of your gums, screen for signs of TMJ trouble, and perform an oral cancer screening: Dr. Williams checks your neck and oral tissues for lumps, red or white patches and recurring sores. For patients at increased risk, we offer ViziLite Plus, an advanced oral lesion screening system.
If we find signs of gingivitis or more advanced gum disease, we may recommend a deeper cleaning (scaling and root planing) to stop the progression and protect the bone that holds your teeth.
